Living the Wealthy Life: 18 Principles to Achieving Success, Prosperity and Happiness
New York, (November 2011)-Living the Wealthy Life, is a grassroots, realistic understanding of how one should or could attain a wealthy life. The reader will understand after reading the book, that the author makes the inference of wealth and wealthy living from a holistic point of view not necessarily a monetary one.
Eighteen principles are presented as a guideline to what can lead one toward living a rich and fulfilling life. What is presented in the chapters of Living a Wealthy Life, is not how to have a million dollars in the bank which may be the first perception of what the book might be based on, but on how one can live successfully and have a satisfying life with or without millions in the bank. Presented in the book is a simple and factual layout of how one can be happy because they are at peace not only with themselves, but family, friends and above all, their Creator.
The book focuses on various aspects of wealth and living and on how one can obtain wealth through living. From becoming educated to avoiding gossip and knowing when a problem is too much for you, which are just a few of the principles discussed in the book, the author touches on every aspect of life and presents a layout or a guide on how to therefore improve one’s quality of life. Each of Lauren’s principles can be related to personal and everyday experiences such as “Occupy Wall Street.” Principle 3 is Creating Solutions and Removing Roadblocks. “Living the Wealthy Life has a message that reignites with the organizers and masses involved in Occupy Wall Street and the other Occupy protests across the country. They are being proactive, demanding change and by uniting they are bringing attention to the issues that affect our lives like unemployment, home foreclosures, police crudity and other situations that have a direct impact on our lives,” states Raysor.
One of Lauren’s other principles is Principle 11, to achieving a wealthy life is to surround yourself with positive people because positive influences can help you to overcome some of the struggles faced on a daily basis. This principle can serve as a follow up to Principle 7 which says that wealthy living means being inspired by others, not being jealous of their
accomplishments. The author emphasizes in this principle that because we have to be so focused on the wealth we want to achieve in life, we don’t have time to focus and engulf ourselves and energy on being jealous of other people and their accomplishments, “time you spend being jealous is time you’re not using to improve your own situation.”
What makes this book different from others is the non-judgmental, sincere and friendly approach the author takes. As Pamela D. Hayes, Attorney at Law states, “the book is a straight to the point guide for those who want to be successful.” Lauren acknowledges that we are all different and we do things our way but if behavior is tweaked somewhat by what she has presented in her book, we can all be successful and wealthy, using her life story and now success, as a perfect example. Patrick Snow, International Best-Selling Author of Creating Your Own Destiny summarizes the book best when he says, “in this life-changing book written by Lauren Raysor, you will learn all the strategies and principles you need to apply to your life to achieve wealth, freedom, and prosperity.” Lauren can be considered a teacher and uses the book as a transport for others to learn what she has learned; she does not keep her success and means to success to herself but shares with the world. Because of this, Ms. Raysor needs to be applauded.
